It’s not easy to find a new way to present fashion brands. Especially after you’ve just seen them on the all fashion weeks, and multitude of collaborations and collections that pop out every day. But Ink Fabric editorial does it so, and does it beautifully.
Modeled by Myroslava Dronyuk, photographed by Andrew Ivaskiv, and illustrated by Julia Slavinska, the spread brings all our favorites—Dior, Louis Vuitton, Alexander Wang, Alexander McQueen, Giambattista Valli, Givenchy, and Dolce & Gabbana—together in a work of art.

MODEBELOFTE 2012: 

ENTERING THE FUNNEL

Not to be missed at each year during Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven is Modebelofte, (translation: A promise is made), featuring the best young talent in fashion, both Dutch and International. Handpicked by fashion consultant Carlo Wijnands, this year the exhibition, Entering The Funnel, has been art directed by Niek Pulles and Martin Schuurmans. Organizers seek to transport the viewers to the future world where a new race of fashionable warriors has been born.

The idea for “Enter the Funnel” was created during this summer, connecting seamlessly to the general theme of Dutch Design Week “Enter a Brave new World”. Although Dutch Design Week has come and gone, Modebelofte is on view at Krabbedans Eindhoven through December 2nd.

IGNASI MONREAL COUTURE ILLUSTRATIONS FOR V MAGAZINE SPAIN

Ignasi Monreal has illustrated the F/W 2012 Haute Couture Collections for V Magazine Spain.  Showing looks by Armani Privé, Jean Paul Gaultier, Dior and others.

YVONNE KWOK: fashion marionette 

Dutch fashion designer Yvonne Kwok received recognition on the fashion scene when she became one of the finalists at the London Graduate Fashion Week in the Best International Collection category. Inspired by tpunk culture and marionettes, I really like her bright colors, mix of fabrics and deconstructed silhouettes. Keep an eye out for her in the future…

“My concept is about the battle with the mental disorder caused by the restrictions within the fashion system where pressure plays a major role. With reference to the marionette “a person who is in the service of someone else”, I want to make a mockery of this subject.”
